Laboratory Assistant PRN Overnights

Join AdventHealth’s Laboratory team in Daytona Beach, Florida, as a PRN (as-needed) Laboratory Assistant for overnight shifts. In this role, you’ll contribute to patient care by assisting with various laboratory tasks and supporting our medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patient specimens for analysis
• Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper inventory of supplies
• Assist laboratory technologists with complex testing procedures
• Enter patient data and test results into laboratory information systems
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality control standards

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology preferred
• Previous laboratory experience is beneficial but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts on an as-needed basis
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems
